Duties
- Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to improve website visibility and organic search rankings
- Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify target keywords and optimize website content
- Perform on-page optimization, product descriptions, headings, and URL structure
- Manage off-page optimization efforts, including link building and outreach campaigns
- Monitor and analyze website performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and algorithm updates to ensure SEO best practices are followed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, developers, and designers, to implement SEO recommendations
- Provide regular reporting on SEO performance metrics to stakeholders
Goals
- Enhance product visibility and search rankings
- Enhance e-mail newsletter signups and engagement
- Enhance social media engagement
- Consistently rank in top 10 of primary search terms for our products
- Develop strategy to effectively drive traffic to our site for products that are sometimes restricted from traditional advertising techniques. (pocket knives and related)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Proven experience as an SEO Manager or similar role. Will need to provide concrete examples of experience and outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO techniques and best practices. Maintain the most up-to-date knowledge about changing SEO best practices related to Google's E-E-A-T guidelines and the effects of AI on the industry.
- Experience with Shopify and integrated apps
- Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, including SEM and social media management
- Proficiency in HTML5 and website optimization techniques
- Experience with SEO tools such as Moz, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
